    FrameTest Decision Support Tool

FrameTest DST is a decision support tool based on an Agent Based Model. This model simulates the behaviour of farmers in a landscape. The tool allows to observe how different socio-economic factors affects the economic and environmental sustainability of a farmer cluster.

    Introduction

    What does FRAMEtest do?

FRAMEtest employs an agent-based model to simulate the dynamics of an agricultural landscape. By modeling the behavior of virtual farmers who may form cooperative clusters, FRAMEtest offers insights into complex socio-economic and ecological interactions within the farming community.

    How it works

    How does FRAMEtest work?

Each farmer is managing its farm to maximise the profit while taking into consideration (to a certain degree) environmental and biodiversity issues. The relevance of the non-economic factors in the decision-making process can be controlled via a dedicated parameters in the decision support tool.

Developed with the AFRICA modelling framework and powered by the ‘pacha’ simulation software created by LIST, FRAMEtest provides a detailed examination of sustainability indicators that are difficult to measure directly.

    FRAMEtest User Interface

FRAMEtest is designed with a user-friendly interface that allows stakeholders, particularly farmers and environmental planners, to interact with and derive insights from our sophisticated agent-based model. Here’s what you can expect when navigating our interface:
